To Abide
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me." ~ John 15:4

To abide begins with faith in Jesus. Once one belongs to Jesus their perseverance can be summed up in the word abide.

Abide means to:
To Stay
After we commit to a relationship with God it is important that we practice staying with God's way and not turning back to our old ways.
To Endure
Trouble will come our way (John 16:33). For those who belong to Jesus can be at ease because God will give us what we need if we only endure.
To Wait
When we join God's family Satan does everything he can to keep us ignorant, fearful, or selfish so that we choose to leave and find our own way. However, staying (abiding) is our act of love, our act of worship, towards God.
